ParticipantI changed nothing and suddenly my videos are not streaming. I even went as far as to pay for a membership again (which I now think I may be being charged twice for).
Did something behind the scenes change?
[s3video bucket=”BUCKET” folder=”FOLDER” autoplay=”false”] is not the right code? Do I need to downgrade?
This is kind of important. -

ParticipantAgreed. My videos are just loading forever now. Whereas before they would work perfectly fine with an RTMP stream set up.

ParticipantHey Sam,
I was making a page with just my s3 bubble player when I was pleasantly surprised with this error when I clicked the insert single video button:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 786432 bytes) in PRIVATE on line 2465
So the problem has been identified but now I don’t know how to proceed and fix it.

ParticipantOk I’ve gone ahead and debugged the reason I was getting this fatal error for memory. Hopefully, the error doesn’t come back. Now I have made a page with a view of my player because unfortunately my videos are still just loading forever without streaming or even showing the player. You can see the player here at this link:

KeymasterHi honestycompany
We are still looking into this it is quite a complex issue it seems there is a issue with the actually ISP we are in talks with softlayer trying to findout what is going on.
Below is a response from our hosting providers.
Samuel,
Thanks for your patience. I took a look at things and I can confirm that while we can access their site from our network, they cannot access your site from their network. In fact it appears they possibly cannot access anything in that datacenter. This suggest there is something blocking net connections initiated from their network. I can assure you MediaTemple is not doing this blocking. From your traceroutes the commonality appears to be either Softlayer, Internap or NetDC ISPs. I’ve spoken with NetDC and they claim they are not filtering anything. We have also reached out to softlayer but have not heard back from them.
Whats really strange is i can run your setup perfectly on our testing reseller hosting.
Best Regards

ParticipantHey Sam,
Thanks for the reply today. So this sounds like a big issue from a simple problem. I’ve disabled all of my plugins and still there seems to be no progress.
I’m not exactly sure what your hosting providers were saying but maybe I should give a call to GoDaddy. This way we can cancel out if it’s hosting issues or firewalls on my end.
However, I wouldn’t exactly know what to be looking for. So what questions or information should I inquire from Godaddy when I call them that will help clarify the issues with my player.
Best Regrads

ParticipantThis is currently the error I am getting from S3 Bubble Player which is not showing up.
Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds. Stats Memory usage: 57.5 mb. Max execution time: 30. Please contact support@s3bubble.com this error is normally related to a hosting issue..
P.S. – I have talked to GoDaddy and per their instructions have increased memory limits for my hosting. However, the issue is still occuring so I’m lost as to what I should try or do next.

KeymasterHi Everyone in this post.
This is the latest response from our hosts so it looks like we will have a solution shortly.
Hi Samuel,
Ok, I’ve reached out to Softlayer (your customer’s ISP), Internap (Intermediary ISP), and NetDC (Intermediary ISP). One of them is filtering things, and I’m hoping I get a quick response from them. It is out of our control at this moment, but hopefully these ISPs will be responsive and allow us to track down whatever is blocking your customers from reaching you.I will keep everyone updated
Best Regards

KeymasterHi All,
Latest response i am aware that some of you have made this request but the more people we can get trying to fix this the quicker they will respond.
Samuel,
I’m still waiting to hear back from the other ISPs, they tend to not be very good about responding to these kind of inquiries if at all. It would be helpful if the customer you’re working with can open a support request with Softlayer about not being able to reach your service. They will be more responsive to one of their actual customers rather than requests from other service providers.Just keeping everyone updated
Best Regards

ParticipantOk Sam,
I’ll see if I can put in a support request with Softlayer’s team.
However in the meantime, what do you suggest I do to stream rtmp videos on my site. I have to have something reliable until these issues are figured out.
Please continue to keep us updated.
Thanks

KeymasterHello Everyone.
Please install this version of the plugin and everything will work.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/s3bubble-amazon-s3-audio-streaming/
Apologies we have been really let down by our hosting company Media Temple who this issue was directly related to and was completely out of our hands, we are completely moving away from media temple and putting everything on Amazon for our hosting as it much more reliable and will prevent issues like this happening in the future.
Best Regards
Sam
