Manually Create An S3Bubble Elastic Transcoder Encryption Key

In this quick step by step process, we will show you how to create an encryption key for hls adaptive bitrate encoding.

1. Go to the IAM (Identity and access management) service and open Encryption keys (Direct Link).

2. !Important make sure you create your key in the same region as the bucket with the media files you will be encrypting.
for instance if your bucket is in (us-east-1) you will need to create your key in US East (N. Virginia) full list or endpoints (Direct Link)

3. Create Alias: and Description click next.

4. Add Tags: optional click next.

5. Define Key Administrative Permissions: In the filter start to type s3bubble. You should see (S3Bubble_Elastic_Transcoder_Default_Role) select this role. If this role is not create you can let S3bubble create it here top right click create default role.

6. Define Key Usage Permissions: In the filter start to type s3bubble. You should see (S3Bubble_Elastic_Transcoder_Default_Role) select this role. If this role is not create you can let S3bubble create it here top right click create default role.

7. Preview Key Policy: you will now see a json policy click finish.

8. Now select your created key and you will see you ARN under Summary, you now need to select this ARN when creating a pipeline in S3Bubble.
